Three Pantoums

by Colin W. Campbell

Whispers

Out there among the trees,
way down at Santubong
whispers in the breeze,
bring back an ancient song.

Way down at Santubong
sad sounds of long ago
bring back an ancient song
a song the spirits know.

Sad sounds of long ago
whispers in the breeze.
A song the spirits know,
out there among the trees.

A pearl of a place to be
the very cream of Kuching City.
So nice and posh and clean and tidy
and such a lovely sight to see.

The very cream of Kuching City,
all my pals in MJC.
And such a lovely sight to see,
especially when they visit me.

All my pals in MJC,
so nice and posh and clean and tidy,
especially when they visit me.
A pearl of a place to be.
