Three Haikus and a Pantoum

by Zara Adcock

Split Certainty

My pencil flitting across the page
felt far more
certain than my Self

Void

Defining void:
A space within that’s missing
a precious fragment

Night Sounds

My contemplations
bounce off the walls
into the night life sounds

Anticipation

In timings of anticipation
Weary from the wait
Waiting to be replenished
Thunder waits to break

Weary from the wait
We lie casting an eye to the sky
Thunder waits to break
Storm must surge and awake

We lie casting an eye to the sky
Waiting to be replenished
Storm must surge and awake
In timings of anticipation
